HSBC names Singapore as 1 of the 2 countries that have tackled the virus well and stands to reap the benefits. Many countries have started to implement stricter border controls due to the new and more infectious strain of COVID-19 while Singapore just entered Phase 3 allowing a bigger group of up to 8 pax to mingle.
Singapore managed to bring an early dormitory outbreak under control and still has strict safe distancing measures in place. This allows economic activities to continue, keeping the people employed and attract foreign investors.
