Where Are Millionaires Moving To Post Pandemic

After almost two years of pandemic living and border closures, people have learnt how important travel or rather the freedom of movement is. The constant quarantines, isolations, lockdowns have forced the wealthy to rethink where is a safer haven for their families. In addition, the Russian and Ukraine conflict have similarly uprooted citizens alike to leave for safer territories.

In the above infographic, we see that UAE had the most inflow of millionaires, followed by Australia and Singapore. These 3 destinations share some similar traits, which are high standards of living, low crime rates, good healthcare and education system.

Closer to home, Australia and Singapore have relaxed border movements to where they used to be pre-covid. Housing prices have soared, more people are seeking permanent residency and citizenships in both countries as they believe the respective governments did well in crisis management as well as the ability to provide equal and quality healthcare.

"Singapore's policies are clear and will rarely veer off course. As investors or entrepreneurs, we don't like sudden about u-turns or emergency braking, nor illogical measures." - Chinese billionaire Liang Xinjun - The Business Times 21 June 2022
